Production Timeline

The manufacturing process includes several stages:

  1. Engineering Drawings
    Takes 3–10 days, depending on the design's complexity.
  2. Project Approval
    We send you the drawings for review and make any necessary adjustments. This step usually takes 1–6 days.
  3. Manufacturing
    Production time ranges from 7 to 30 days, based on size, complexity, and current workload.
  4. Priming and Painting
    The hatch is primed and finished in your selected color. This process takes 1–2 days.
  5. Glass Installation
    The glass is professionally bonded into the hatch cover. This stage requires 2–3 days to ensure secure fixation and full curing.
  6. Quality Control & Presentation
    We provide photos and videos of the finished product, demonstrate how it opens and closes, and show the packaging process. This stage takes 1–2 days.
  7. Delivery
    After secure packaging, the product is handed over to the shipping company.

What You Need to Place an Order

Ordering a glass floor hatch is simple:

  1. 1. Measure the Opening
    Provide the exact dimensions of the opening. Photos are highly recommended to help us better understand your project. Send the details via email or WhatsApp.
  2. 2. Choose the Construction Type
    If you're unsure, our manager will guide you. We offer two main options:
    • Angle Frame Construction. It’s ideal for finished interiors. It can be installed directly over existing flooring such as tile or parquet.
    • Profile Tube Frame. It’s best suited for installation during renovation. It allows precise leveling with the floor and proper sealing.
  3. 3. Define the Opening Direction
    For example, a 2000 Γ— 900 mm hatch can open along either the long or short side. Opening along the short side is more complex, but we have extensive experience with such solutions. Upon request, we can also provide videos of completed projects for reference.
  4. 4. Optional Electric Lift System
    The hatch can be equipped with an electric lifting mechanism for enhanced convenience and ease of use. This option adds approximately $1500 to the total cost, regardless of the hatch size.
  5. 5. Glass Type
    Choose between clear or tinted glass. Tinted glass increases the price slightly (around +5%).
  6. 6. Strength & Safety
    We use standard 12 mm tempered glass with a load capacity of approximately 300–500 kg/mΒ² (evenly distributed load).

    Additional reinforcement options include:

    • Protective safety film
    • Laminated glass (6+6, 8+8, 10+10, 12+12 mm)

    These options increase strength but add about 25% to the cost.

    For walkable applications, standard 12 mm glass is usually sufficient. Share your usage details (foot traffic, frequency), and we’ll recommend the best solution.

  7. 7. Color & Coating
    The standard finish is black (RAL 9016). Custom colors are available for an additional $100–200, depending on size.

    All metal parts are primed and treated with anti-corrosion coating. Powder coating ensures long-lasting durability. The finish will not fade or peel even after many years.

  8. 8. Final Drawings
    Once all details are confirmed, our engineers prepare custom technical drawings and proceed with production.
